Welcome to the Big Axe After School Program, a nature based learning experience for school aged children in Nackawic. We pride ourselves on offering quality educational programs in 4 themes: Inquiry Based Nature Exploration, Arts, Crafts and Woodworking, Sports and Games, and Outdoor Skills.

Criminal Background Checks with Vulnerable Sector Screening are available for all Adults who live in our home.
THE TEAM
Sarah Delaney
​
Sarah has been in the field of early childhood education and youth recreation for 20 years. Her professional experience has been with the YMCA of Toronto, MySchool in Whitby ON., Licensed Home Child Care in Smiths Falls Ontario (Children's Resources on Wheels) and Mulmur Hills Recreation and Wellness Centre.
​
Sarah's hobbies and interests include: Dancing, Kayaking, Healthy Active Lifestyle and animal protection. She has a wonderful imagination, is talented in children's programming and gets a real kick out of kids with character.
Darcy Delaney
Darcy will be present from time to time to help with activities, supervision and even the odd pick up at the school. Darcy has been a leader in Youth Programs, Summer Camps and Charitable Organizations for the past 20 years.

H & H Bagels
These two crazy kids will be present in the program most days (but not all the time). They look forward to sharing adventures with your children.
